Palm to unveil 100(USD) entry-level smartphone

Palm introduced its smallest smartphone ‘Centro’, making its first push into the low end mobile phone market.

Featuring a bit bigger size than a credit card with 4.2-ounce lightweight, the Centro is equipped with a qwerty keyboard, touch screen and offers the ability to read and send e-mail or manage document and spreadsheets.

Hoping to entice consumers looking for a low-cost upgrade, the company has priced the new smartphone to sell for about 100(USD). It will sell exclusively through Sprint Nextel for the rest of the year in the United States.
