Sony to release mid-level DSLR 'α700' in Korea

Sony revealed today its mid-level digital SLR camera ‘α700’ in Korea market.

As a successor of ‘α100’, an entry level DSLR of the company, the α700 adopted 12.2M CMOS sensor ‘Exmor’ and imaging processor engine ‘Bionz’. Supporting 5fps shooting speed, it offers ISO 100~3200 sensitivity and up to ISO 6400 can be set as expanded ISO range.

Employing dual slot for Memory Stick Duo and CF card, the α700 features an HDMI output for connection to HDTV sets. When connected to a Sony BRAVIA TV, photos are optimized for viewing with the company's new 'PhotoTV HD' mode.
