BlackBerry to present '8830 World Edition' - CDMA smartphone


BlackBerry showcased its CDMA smartphone ‘8830 World Edition’ during CTIA 2007, which is capable of roaming globally on GSM/GPRS networks.

The BlackBerry 8830 World Edition provides you with phone, email, organizer, web browsing and instant messaging. Adopting qwerty keyboard and trackball, it also supports GPS function, BlackBerry Maps, a media player, 64MB flash memory and expandable with micro SD card.

Samsung's 3G HSDPA phone 'BlackJack II' will unveiled


Samsung’s 3G HSDPA phone ‘BlackJack II(model: i617)’ was unveiled during CTIA 2007 in San Francisco.

Running on Windows Mobile 6 Standard, the BlackJack II features 3G UMTS/HSDPA and Quad-band EDGE/GPRS technology, built-in GPS supporting TeleNav GPS Navigator, and AT&T Video Share service enabling users to share live video over the wireless phones while on a voice call.

Adopting 2.4-inch 320x240 pixel screen and qwerty keyboard, it is equipped with front jog wheel, 2.M camera and Bluetooth 2.0 connection. It will be available from AT&T in US market, and suggested price is $149.

Samsung's smartphone 'SCH-i760' will released from Verizon in USA


Samsung’s smartphone ‘SCH-i760’ was displayed at the CTIA 2007 in San Francisco, which will be released in US market from Verizon Wireless on November 2.

Running on Windows Mobile 6 Professional, the Samsung ‘SCH-i760’ is equipped with 2.8-inch touch screen for a quick and easy navigation, a full qwerty horizontal slider keyboard and a separate dial pad right on the front of it. Other features included mp3 playback, a 1.3M camera and stereo Bluetooth for speakers and headsets.

AT&T expects to launch its 3G smart phone 'AT&T Tilt'


AT&T is expecting to launch its 3G smart phone 'AT&T Tilt’ in U.S. market on October 5, 2007.

Designed by HTC, the AT&T Tilt runs on Window Mobile 6, and adopts qwerty keypad and 2.8-inch color screen. Also it comes with 3M camera, Bluetooth 2.0 and GPS navigation function. Suggested price is 299.99(USD).

Palm to unveil 100(USD) entry-level smartphone


Palm introduced its smallest smartphone ‘Centro’, making its first push into the low end mobile phone market.

Featuring a bit bigger size than a credit card with 4.2-ounce lightweight, the Centro is equipped with a qwerty keyboard, touch screen and offers the ability to read and send e-mail or manage document and spreadsheets.

Hoping to entice consumers looking for a low-cost upgrade, the company has priced the new smartphone to sell for about 100(USD). It will sell exclusively through Sprint Nextel for the rest of the year in the United States.
